Our mission

LitCam (Literacy Campaign) is a non-profit organization that campaigns for educational equality and integration. It was launched in 2006 as an initiative at the Frankfurt Book Fair and has been a non-profit organization since 2010.

Educational success in Germany is still closely linked to social background. Since our foundation, we have been committed to ensuring that all children in Germany, regardless of their social or material circumstances, have fair educational opportunities. We specifically support children and young people who are growing up in challenging circumstances in order to help them develop themselves.

To strengthen the skills of children and young people, we are particularly involved in extracurricular language and reading promotion. In addition, we bring educational and socio-political topics closer to a broad public by organizing events.
